So how come this guy at the site for fixing IE has an ad for Spy Sweeper at the top of his page, but recommends a different anti-spyware program down in the text of his instructions? I guess, on consideration, that's all right; otherwise, one might say that he was biased if he allowed advertising only from those companies whose programs he currently recommended. I'm guessing he stipulates that advertisers must accept that he is not bound to even mention the advertiser if he doesn't feel their program is the best currently available.
Well, SpySweeper isn't free, Spybot S&D is.
On many sites, the advertising is from a third party, and they pick whatever might (or might not) be good for the page.
